Wasn't There An Election Recently?

I knew Deval Patrick would win. He had the endorsment of the Massachusetts' teachers union. No one is elected into any office in this state without the MTA supporting them.

Good thing I'm a member.

Yes, but what he makes of his term(s) as Governor is still my concern.

I firmly believe he'll try hard but completely muck things up. He'll be blamed for the continuing slide in real estate prices, the staggering joblosses that are ramping up now that the election is over and the decline in population as our less affluent neighbors see a higher standard of living elsewhere.

We'll see a new republican governor next cycle. And it will give every white supremecist group a chance to say 'I told you so'. Deval Patrick seems set up for failure. Kerry Healey won't be going away anytime soon. She campaigned and lost before. She'll be back.

I really wanted to like Patrick when I first heard of him. (He was a sponsor of mine during the ill fated adsense experiment. I bookmarked his site.) But the more I read his blog, the more vaguely polished and hollow his promises sounded. My BS meter is tuned like a geiger counter for weasel words. It crackled like JiffyPop.
