That's some of the best coverband material I've ever heard from a highschool...
I like how you can hear the crowd cheering during the solos.
That drummer on Immigrant Song is no John Bonham. And I'm pretty sure John Paul Jones didn't do any slapping and popping. Jimmy Page used excessive wah and soloed like Eddie Van Halen? Come on people...
#1 my wife wants to know why you are home on new years eve reading my crappy blog. I don't think she understands time zones and by the looks of the time stamp you're posting sometime in the early afternoon for where you live.
2) This school has dozens of these covers each more tantalizing then the last. Do some menu bar editing and find the motherload... my two links don't even scratch the surface. Zack, you might truly appreciate their cover of Boston "Don't Look Back" and that they seem to really go for that Age of Aquarius song from "Hair".
Answers: #1: I was at work. I worked all day on Monday. Granted, there wasn't much to do so I had plenty of time to set up itunes on my work computer, upload some albums, and organize some sort of playlist so I could enjoy my Christmas present.
I went out around 8 Central. Hung out with a friend at his place until 10 and then we went to watch the fireworks at the Capitol. After that, I went to a house party a few blocks away hosted by The Gusto, a local punk band. I think I got home around 5am. I didn't drink much. 4 beers, 1 Irish Coffee. (it was made with instant and it cost $5... fucking highway robbery!)
2) I'll do some more investigating. I did check the school and found out the history of the Pops concert. On one hand, I can appreciate what the choral instructor was doing, but on the other hand, it's really hard to listen to songs I like be slaughterd by people with unrefined (or sometimes a complete lack of) talent.
C You have intersting insight and perhaps a differnt perspective on this thing called life. I enjoy your opinions. It's the same reason that I like reading Thoughtless fo the Day. It puts my brain in a differnt place for a few minutes.
Lately, work has been pretty hectic. (I think you may know about that.) So I haven't had hours of sitting and staring at a computer screen like I've had in the past. Oh well.
I understand time zones just fine thank you very much. I just was not sure which zone Rickety lives in. And for the record, I did not call the blog "crappy".

LJASC: He's one over from us and it may or may not be crappy.
AG did not say...
Wait until you have to go to your own kid's shitty concerts, Ha Ha!
Lisa. I'm in Central (as AG put it so elegantly. ;) Thanks.)
(Coincidentaly, I'm at work right now... taking a break. Backlog on outgoing invoices that need to be sent out tomorrow.)
As for Anonymous... I'm never going to have kids. That's a fact!
I would like to some day see my own child perform badly.
We're running out of options there though.
