Welcome To The Party

It seems to me that I've heard someone say something like this a couple years ago. I wonder who it was and what I said.

Anyone who's going to argue about the legitimacy of a particular alcoholic concoction is not really an alcoholic, thereby negating all claims to truth...

and if you serve Kool-aid in a Martini Glass with some vodka or gin mixed in (or for a totally awesome effect, both)... do you then have to change the name of the glass to Jungle-Juice glass?

I have a hard time classifying the Martini in general because there are two different versions of alcohol base and then the multiple garnish options that gum things up. For me, that really opens the door for all those other kinds of "FUN" martinis that people seem to want to overspend their hard earned money on... but then again, any economy drinker will tell you that you're wasting your time and money if you can't get drunk on the cheapest drink in the house, like college chic PBR.

The point is that a martini is a coctail and no other coctail should ever be called a "martini".
