This cunt claims english teachers are teaching advanced algebra. That may have been true in 1983 and Kansas but it's not happening here now.

And though it's your blog, could we refrain from the use of 'cunt' here? It is an offensive term, along with all other terms used as a negative reference of female genital parts. (I also feel the same about the use of male genital slang. This includes Chuckles desire to talk about his wang 24/7.)

I was homeschooled for the better part of my elementary education and then wound up in a small district that had a stellar cast of educators on their payroll. I can't say much for my direct experience with "failing" schools.
I do think that the teachers union isn't the best thing since sliced bread but I also think that a lot of current problems in schools has to do with the "no child left behind: (No school left standing)" shit that got pushed through. It didn't work in Texas when GW was Gov. Why would it work for the rest of the nation? Oh. Because Middle America wanted to believe it would.
