For One Brief Moment, It Was Glorious

Out back, stretched between two trees in a sunny spot, I have a hammock. All winter long I've been dreaming about the first sunny day that I could lie about with a beer and do nothing. Today that day was today. For an hour I lay out there with a beer in my hand, an empty head and a song in my heart, blissful in my serene peace. Then I got up to take a leak. When I went back to resume hammocking the treacherous machination gave way and dropped me and my hapless beer to the ground. I am remarkably unharmed. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the Samual Adams Boston Lager which shared my journey to the ground. The hammock, much like my beer and my dream, is a total loss.

Off to the Hammock District I go!

It's Not Xbox's Fault This Time

For those of you wondering where I’ve been since the close of the school year, here goes. In a hammock in the back yard drinking beer. For most of you who know me this will come as no surprise. However not all of that time was spent goofing off. Much of it was spent convalescing from a fall through my deck. I would like to take this moment to briefly say that the new Beverly Hospital emergency room system is way better then the old one. I limped in there and was out in a leg brace in less than an hour. That included X-rays and a very short wait in a private room. The new ER was money well spent despite the fact that it took 3 years to build.

My immediate plans include more hammock time and probably fixing the hole in the deck.

Vacation Is All I Ever Wanted

Schools is out. I'm drinking beer in my hammock. I'm watching movies on Lisa's widescreen laptop.

I'm watching the "The Warriors".

Why didn't they just get into a cab?

Been A While

Surgery went well. I chose general anesthesia because I thought I'd be bored with just a local. The doctor attached a syringe to my IV and the next thing I remember is waking up with a cast on my leg.

After horrifying my family with the amount of painkillers I was taking on Saturday I'm not taking them anymore. I took some last night to fall asleep but havent had any since. My ankle is sore but not unbearable. The worse is, I believe over.

I'm on crutches and my arms and right leg are sore from carrying my weight.

I don't have buyers remorse for my iPhone but I am getting annoyed with Safari crashes.

Tonight I'm going to go to trivia over at O'neils in Salem.

Tomorrow I'm going to sit in a hammock.
